Roasted chicken is surely one of the most hit or miss dishes you can make. It either turns out shockingly delicious or absolutely disgusting. Here’s my take to fairly versatile chicken drumsticks. Feel free to add more spices, sauces, to please your guests’ tastebuds! 🙂
How to Make:
Prep: 2 hours Cook Time: 45 min Total: 2 hours, 45 minutes
What You Need:
Appliances: Oven, 8x11in baking dish or regular baking sheet, large ziplock bag
-2 lbs Chicken Drumsticks (skin on)
-1/4 cup Olive Oil
-2 Tsp Kosher Salt
-1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
-1 Tsp Garlic Powder
-2 Tsp Cumin
-1/2 Tsp Ground Coriander
-1/2 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
-1/8 Tsp Ground Nutmeg
-2 Tbsp Honey (for topping)
-3 Tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice (for topping)
-1/4 Cup Chopped Parsley (for topping)
1.Remove chicken from packages and pat dry.
2. Salt and pepper chicken on all sides.
3. Combine oil and spices in ziplock bag and mix thoroughly.
4.Add chicken to bag and close bag. Shake until all drumsticks are coated thoroughly.
5.Place in fridge for at least 2 hours. I prepped mine in the morning and let sit all day and then cooked around dinner time.
*Preheat oven to 425 F
1.Place chicken on baking sheet and cover with rest of marinade.
2.Roast at 425 F for 30 minutes. Then broil for 15 minutes (turn chicken every 2-4 minutes to prevent burning)
3. Remove from oven once cooked through. Drizzle with honey, lemon juice, and top with parsley.
